Christianne Boudreau: Radicalisation can often happen during the summer holidays

We previously talked about what parents can do to challenge radicalisation and the steps that parents can take if they think their child is being radicalised. In the video below, Christianne Boudreau explains why the summer holidays are a time when young people are targeted by extremists.

Christianne points out that during this time children are much more likely to be idle, become secluded and spend more time on the computer. It is important to be aware of what your children are doing on social media and if they are exhibiting any significant change in their behaviour. You can find out more about how to safeguard your loved ones online here.

If you have concerns your child might be affected by anything you’ve read here, you may want to raise the issue with someone you trust, perhaps a friend or family member who knows your child well. Please visit our help page.
